Deir ez-Zor, Syria – A car bomb exploded on Saturday in the village of Hatlah, north of Deir ez-Zor city, east of Syria. The explosion resulted in the injury of a child, coinciding with the explosion of another car in the village of Miratt east of Deir ez-Zor.
Fayez Abdul Aziz, civil activist based in the city of Deir ez-Zor, told ARA News that a 6-year-old boy was seriously injured due to the attack, and was transferred to the National Hospital in Deir ez-Zor.
“Another car exploded in the ISIL-held village of Miratt in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor. No casualties were reported,” Abdul Aziz said.
Wael al-Dakheel, civil activist from Deir ez-Zor, told ARA News that violent clashes broke out between fighters of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) and the Islamic Brigades on the one hand, and ISIL militants on the other hand, in al-Mijawida village east of Deir ez-Zor.
“Two FSA fighters were killed in the clashes,” al-Dakheel reported.
